Help navigating life’s obstacles.

I’m here to serve you

I provide therapeutic help to individuals (teen to adult), couples, and families, specializing in anxiety, relationship issues, ADHD, and life transitions such as:

Learning to “adult” and navigate the challenges of being in your 20s; transitioning from high school to college; getting married; becoming pregnant (perinatal challenges); starting a family; postpartum challenges; parenting; divorce; loss of a loved one/grief; career transitions; burnout; mid-life challenges including perimenopause/menopause and aging; as well as the major technological transitions that have changed what life looks like for us as humans—and how to cope, simplify, and detox.

Individual Therapy

I have an eclectic approach, utilizing mindfulness-based stress reduction, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am trauma informed, and like to insert humor when appropriate.

  • Types of Therapy I utilize:

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT)—Encourages accepting uncomfortable thoughts and feelings while committing to actions that align with personal values.

Coaching—Life coaches focus on their clients’ present and future goals, helping them to set attainable benchmarks that will lead them to successfully change various aspects of their lives. While some life coaches provide general guidance, others specialize in areas such as health and wellness, finance, relationships, or career coaching.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)—A structured, goal-oriented approach that helps you identify and change unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)—Combines CBT techniques with mindfulness to help manage intense emotions, reduce high-risk behaviors, and improve relationships.

Existential—Existential therapy focuses on free will, self-determination, and the search for meaning—often centering on the individual rather than on their symptoms. The approach emphasizes a person's capacity to make rational choices and to develop to their maximum potential.

Humanistic/Person-Centered—Emphasizes self-actualization, focusing on the present and fostering personal growth through unconditional positive regard.

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)—MBCT, largely derived from Jon Kabat-Zinn's work, helps individuals "befriend" their minds and switch from a "doing" mode (constantly fixing problems) to a "being" mode (accepting the present).

Motivational Interviewing (MI)—MI helps individuals resolve their ambivalence—the feeling of being stuck between wanting to change and wanting to stay the same. Instead of using confrontation or coercion, the practitioner helps the person express their own desire, ability, reasons, and need for change. This increases internal motivation and commitment to action.

Narrative Therapy—Narrative therapy is a form of counseling that views people as separate from their problems and destructive behaviors. This allows clients to get some distance from the difficulty they face; this helps them to see how it might actually be helping or protecting them, more than it is hurting them.

Somatic—a body-centered approach to mental health that focuses on the mind-body connection to release trapped emotions and tension.

Trauma Focused—an evidence-based approach designed to help children, adolescents, and adults heal from the lasting emotional, mental, and physical effects of traumatic experiences. It focuses on addressing distorted beliefs, managing trauma-related behaviors, and reducing PTSD symptoms through techniques like cognitive restructuring, exposure therapy, and emotional regulation.

“At the heart of experience, there is a fire that burns all we know. Offer everything to that fire, what remains the ashes of love – is that for which we have longed all over life.”
